  1. NCBI: Website used to determine disease gene and protein sequence identification.
  2. BLAST: This tool was used to compare the human nucleotide and amino acid sequence to that of other animal species (95% overlap or better required).
  3. MEGA: This tool was used to align the nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the species selected from Blast. In addition, phylogenic trees were produced and likeness relationships were identified.
